SparkCloud

The internet should be buildable from your bedroom.

Real Linux servers with root and SSH, managed Postgres, an editor in your browser, and a live URL for whatever you make. Free for every teen, no credit card, because a nonprofit covers the cost.

Run by The Spark Forward Foundation, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit.

The SparkCloud console: quick actions for containers, spaces, databases and tiles, with credits and running resources at a glance

Six building blocks.
All of them real.

The same primitives a professional cloud gives a company, sized for one teenager and one good idea.

  • Containers ubuntu 24.04 · root · real ssh A full Linux machine that is actually yours. Install anything, break things, fix them, and learn why. Real root, real SSH.
  • Spaces vs code in a tab · auto-hibernates VS Code in a browser tab with a real terminal underneath. Spaces hibernate when you close the tab, so idle time never costs you credits.
  • Databases postgres 16 · daily backups Managed Postgres, provisioned in a click and backed up every day. You get a connection string and start building.
  • Tiles static hosting · custom domains Static hosting with the editor built in. Put your HTML, CSS and JS on a live URL in seconds, and add a custom domain when you want one.
  • AI & agents openai-compatible · claude, gpt, gemini One endpoint for Claude, GPT and Gemini models. Build chatbots and agents with the same credits as everything else.
  • CDN storage object storage · global edge Object storage with global edge caching. Images, downloads and game builds load fast for everyone who opens your link.

The AI tools the pros pay for. Yours, if you want them.

AI is a real part of building software now, and the good tools usually cost real money. On SparkCloud they're free: Claude, GPT and Gemini through one API, plus Sparky, an agent in your editor that can plan changes, edit files, run commands, and deploy your project.

Whether you use any of it is your call. When you do, we teach you to use it well. Sparky works in the open: it reads your project, explains its plan, and runs everything where you can watch. It never does anything without you knowing.

  • the same models the pros pay for, at no cost
  • explains the plan before it makes changes
  • every command runs where you can see it

AI usage is metered in credits and included in every account.

A Space: VS Code in the browser with Sparky writing a Python script in the side panel
Sparky deploying a project: collecting files, analyzing, provisioning infrastructure, step by step
Tiles: editing index.html with a live preview of the finished site running beside the code

index.html to a live URL before dinner.

Tiles is static hosting with the editor built in. Write HTML, CSS and JavaScript with a live preview of the finished page next to your code. Hit Publish and send the link to a friend.

When a project deserves it, add a custom domain and make it look professional.

the catch There isn't one. SparkCloud is run and paid for by The Spark Forward Foundation, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit. Credits keep usage fair, and they are never something you buy.
